Latin Dance Club

I've been a member of the Latin Dance Club since my freshman year, however; back then it was known as the Clemson Salsa Club. Once I decided I wanted to become an executive board member I pushed to have the name changed to Latin Dance Club so that it could be more inclusive of the other Latin dance styles. as an executive board member I have served as Social Media chair, Instructor, and most recently President. I created our social media pages and have kept them up to date and developed all the material on them. I created all of our event flyers. I constantly looked for opportunities of collaboration with other student organizations such as Lambda Theta Phi Latin Fraternity for the Latin Dance Social and Latin Night, LUCU for Noche Latino, Clemson Ballroom Club for Valentine's Social, CLOC for events throughout Hispanic and Latinx Heritage Month. I found and organized fundraising opportunities for us such as making and selling elotes at the International Festival. I reached out to offices on campus such as the Council for Diversity Affairs and Gantt Multicultural Center to help us plan, organize, and fund events. I created t-shirt designs for our members.

Lambda Theta Phi, Latin Fraternity Inc.

I was a founding Brother of Clemson's Delta Nu Chapter of Lambda Theta Phi Latin Fraternity Inc. (ΛΘΦ). This was the first colony of this fraternity in the state of South Carolina and the first Latino based but not Latino exclusive fraternity at Clemson. I helped found this fraternity along with six other gentlemen in the Fall of 2015. We wanted to bring more awareness of the Hispanic presence on campus as well as build a brotherhood for young men to come together and build each other up to grow as individuals both academically and professionally as well as have a sense of a familial unit here on campus. I served as secretary for a year as a member and helped manage the agenda and minutes from meetings as well as document all the events we held on campus. About 2 years after being founded at Clemson, we received our chapter letters and have steadily continued to grow and develop more young men interested in Hispanic/Latinx culture.

Clemson's Latinx Organizations Committee (CLOC)

During my time at Clemson I have volunteered at a few events for CLOC. I have primarily aided with events during Hispanic and Latinx Heritage Month. I have volunteered my time at Camino al Clemson which is an event geared towards giving Hispanic and Latinx high schoolers and their families a first person glance at life in Clemson and answer any questions they may have during campus tours, through panel discussions and sitting with these families during lunch. I've also helped with setting up and arts and crafts stations at the El Dia de Los Muertos event. I've also helped with setting up and cleaning up and Clemson's HLHM culminating event, Noche de Gala.
