Over the Summer of 2019, I interned with an architecture firm in Dalian called Dalian Freen Architecture Design Co. Ltd. During the four weeks of this internship, I was assigned various tasks. In this internship, one of the first tasks assigned was to create a Chinese resume. Our second task was to translate some documents from Chinese to English which covered the Building Information Model (BIM), talent training program, and the purpose of the program. Our other task was to create some logos. The first logo we created was for the new association that the construction company wanted to create. The purpose of the association is to showcase Asian architecture and heritage while protecting it. However, before designing the logo, we had to help the company name the society. We gave them a lot of ideas, we abbreviated them into acronyms, and finally they chose one of my suggested names, the Asian Architectural Heritage Protection Association (AAHPS). The second logo design we needed to create was for an orange fruit grower who likes to grow his own fruit very naturally by using cow manure. The name of this company is "肚子美橙". One of our final tasks with this company was to create a document to assess BIM usage in the US and China and how it could be effectively implemented into Freen.
